1904. Louis Cartier fulfills the wish of the famous Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos Dumont: to tell the time while in flight. Thus was born one of the first wristwatches, which sealed the friendship between two precursors. Its dial with rounded corners, the attachments with harmonious lines and the visible screws are all the characteristics of a watch that will be the subject of numerous reinterpretations.
