Date display
The current date is displayed on the dial.

24-hour additional dial
The time is indicated in a 24-hour format on a smaller dial in the center of the watch.

Chronograph
Used to measure a time interval (stopwatch). Typically constructed as smaller dials in the center of the clock. The international word is Chronograph.

Luminous coating
A luminous coating provides a longer-lasting luminous effect in the dark. Requires only a short exposure to light to enable the effect. It is usually the hands and sometimes the hour markers that are luminous in the dark.

Leather strap
The watch’s strap is made of leather.

Mineral glass
The durable mineral glass protects against scratches and impacts.

Quartz watch
A battery-operated quartz watch is controlled by oscillations in a crystal of the mineral quartz. These fluctuations change very little over time which is why quartz is often used as it retains precision. The international word is Quartz.

Water resistant: 50 meters (5 bar)
Classified to 5 bar or 50 meters. This means that the watch can withstand contact with water, but is not completely water-repellent and should not be used in swimming pools or the like. The meter value (50) is therefore not an expression of the permitted diving depth in water. The value, on the other hand, refers to the air pressure used in the test for water tightness (ISO 2281) and refers to the pressure effect corresponding to a depth of 50 meters at rest. As movement in water increases the pressure load, the water protection limit is therefore significantly less than 50 metres.

Condensation – important!
In the event of rapid temperature fluctuations, a negative pressure occurs in the clock, which can cause condensation to occur. You will see dew drops under the glass if this happens. Go immediately to a watchmaker to open the case to dry the watch. The humidity does not disappear even if the dew disappears. If this is not done, the moisture will settle in the movement and can cause total damage. No watches are condensation-proof even if they are waterproof. Condensation can occur if you go from extreme cold to high heat, for example from winter cold to a high indoor temperature or a sauna. The fact that condensation occurs is therefore not necessarily a manufacturing defect and thus a complaint.

Stainless steel watch case
The watch case of this model is made of stainless steel, which makes it highly resistant to rust.
